GSHRM Incoming 2025-2026 President Letter

Dear GSHRM Members,

It is with enthusiasm that I step into the role of President of the Georgia Society for Healthcare Risk Management. It is an honor to serve alongside such a dedicated group of professionals who share a commitment to advancing safe and quality patient care throughout our state.

As we look ahead to the coming year, my focus is on connection and enhancing the value of our organization to our membership. In a time of rapid change and growing complexity, risk management professionals are more vital than ever. Our role touches every corner of healthcare delivery—from patient safety and compliance to legal readiness and strategic planning.

My goals for this year include:
✅ Expanding professional development opportunities, with relevant, accessible education that meets members where they are in their careers.
✅ Strengthening networking and mentorship, including both virtual and in-person forums to build relationships and share expertise across Georgia..
✅ Encouraging member engagement, because this is your organization—and your voice shapes our collective future.

I want to thank our outgoing President and Board for their outstanding leadership. Their hard work has laid a strong foundation, and I am committed to building on their momentum with transparency, collaboration, and purpose.

Whether you are new to risk management or a seasoned leader, your contribution matters. I encourage each of you to get involved—attend our events, join a committee, or simply reach out to a fellow member. Together, we are stronger, smarter, and better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities ahead.
